Contracts Manager – New Build Homes (North Wales and Cheshire)

The Role – Contracts Manager
Working closely with the Technical Director and Commercial Manager, as Contracts Manager you’ll be responsible for all on-site activities and the management of the workforce including subcontractors and Site Managers. Your role will include:
- Managing all site setups, monitoring progress and ensuring programmes are achieved
- Preparing programmes for submission within tender
- Preparing target programmes and highlighting key dates within the short-term programmes in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyor
- Ensuring all contractual notifications and correspondence is up to date
- Taking responsibility for monitoring health and safety on site
- Ensuring labour, plant and material resources are efficiently utilised
- Completing detailed management reports
- Attending and participating in a variety of meetings, including leading pre-start meetings
- Ensuring compliance with the company quality management system

You will have a luxury office base in St Asaph (North Wales), however due to the nature of the role you will be travelling to sites across North Wales and Cheshire.
Our Requirements – Contracts Manager
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the construction industry
- Excellent computer skills including the ability to use relevant software following appropriate induction training
- Excellent people management and relationship building skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively in order to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
Although not essential, being a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) and having a CSCS black card would be desirable. As would having either a degree, HNC, NVQ or equivalent in in a relevant subject.
